4 Years of Blogging

6:00:00 AM

Ya'll. Today is my 4 year anniversary blogging. When I started Architecture of a Mom, my twins weren't walking yet. I started this blog because I simply needed an outlet that was simply not for anyone else (not my kids, not for my 9-5 job, not for my husband) but for me.  A reason to finish all the half-done craft projects. But Architecture of a Mom has become so much more than that!! I love the relationships I have developed because of this blog, and I love that I have been able to help you become more creative and that we can design a beautiful life...together!

As I was looking back over the last 4 years, it's obvious that I've learned so much. I've learned how to use my camera. I've learned how to write a better post. I've learned HTML. I've done things I've never imagined. But in going back to that first year, I saw so many favorite projects and recipes that I simply cannot believe that I did that first year when I felt like I didn't know how to do anything. So without further ado, these are my favorite posts from my first year blogging. Some were reader favorites, too, but I loved each and every one of these, and I still use all these recipes or items (with the exception of the blanket, which was a gift), and I know that many of you came to Architecture of a Mom after these posts disappeared into the archives. So enjoy!

Mediterranean Roasted Corn

If you're looking for an easy weeknight side dish, this Mediterranean Roasted Corn recipe is for you! Corn combines with sun-dried tomatoes for a memorable flavor!

Peach Knit Baby Blanket

If you like to knit but don't like to commit to large projects because they take too long, you should try this baby blanket! You knit with more than one strand of yarn at a time so it knits up quick and thick!

Pumpkin Granola

If you like granola but want to add a little more vitamins to your breakfast, then add some pumpkin with this recipe!!

Boo-boo Bird

As much as I love this little boo-boo bird, my girls love it more. The cold rice inside this little bird has comforted many, many bumps and bruises!

Cocoa Peanut Butter Fudge

Peanut butter and chocolate, and a no-fail dessert....what's not to love?

Colored Mercury Glass

I still use these little votives! I love how there is a subtle reflection, and yet the blue still looks lovely in my living room today!

So, what's your favorite post from Architecture of a Mom? I'd love to hear!
