Menu Planning Monday 2016-01-04

Howdy folks! Are you ready to get the first meal plan of 2016? If you've been on the fence about meal planning, a new year is a perfect time to get started. Don't feel like you have to eat at home every day, or have homemade meals...just starting the planning process is a start! Be sure to include family favorites, and keep things new by trying a new recipe here or there. Keep things real, too. If you work full time outside the house, invest in a slowcooker and look into quick cooking recipes.

I always say that there is no shame to eating non-traditional meals. If everyone in your house prefers raw veggies to cooked ones, there's no reason to cook a dish no one likes....go with raw veggies!! We regularly eat raw fruits and veggies...easier on the cook and many times it's more healthy.

Here's the plan for the week:

Monday: Asian Sausage and Rice, Salad
Tuesday: Leftover Slowcooker African Peanut, Beef, & Sweet Potato Stew (recipe coming this week)
Wednesday: Meatballs, Carrots, Salad, Fruit

Thursday:  Breakfast for Dinner, Fruit
Friday: Creamy Chicken Burritos (recipe coming soon)
Saturday: Barbecue Chicken Pizza, Salad

Sunday: Leftovers

What are you eating this week?  Any tips for folks whose New Year Resolutions include meal planning?
