Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Pops

6:00:00 AM

I have to say that I'm pretty much in love with banana-based popsicles. Bananas give pops a sweet taste without being overwhelming - they are a simple base that I can add all kinds of flavors to! A couple of days ago, I was inspired to try a peanut butter cup inspired popsicle with the banana base. And if you know that the banana is there, you might miss it - in fact, when my daughters had these popsicles for dessert, one of my girls kept asking where the bananas were! All they could taste was the peanut butter and chocolate!

Here's what you need:

2 bananas
1 tablespoon cocoa
2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup mini chocolate chips

Puree bananas until smooth. I used a mini food processor. Mix in the cocoa and peanut butter - make sure you mix well. Fold in the chocolate chips. Spoon into popsicle molds and freeze overnight. I use Ikea popsicle molds - this recipe made 6 popsicles.

I mean, look at this luciousness! I can hardly believe that there's bananas in there!

Enjoy!
