Strawberry Banana Nut Donuts

6:00:00 AM

It's been a while since I used my donut pan, and recently, I've been craving fresh strawberries. They are just starting to taste sweet! So I just had to make this sweet treat to get back into the donut making groove. They are sweet without being overpowering--perfect for breakfast or a sweet snack!

1 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 banana
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup (heaping) diced strawberries

Preheat the oven to 350. Grease your donut pan (I used a pan for full sized donuts).
In one bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. In a second bowl, mash banana. Add sugar, milk, vanilla and oil and mix well. Make a well in the dry ingredients and add the wet ingredients. Mix well.

Fold in nuts and strawberries. You can either spoon the dough into the donut pan or use a ziploc back with the corner cut off to pipe the dough into the pan.

Bake for 15 minutes. Allow to cool on a wire rack.
