Easy Mod Melt Magnets
6:00:00 AM
I find that it's easier to get organized if my tools are beautiful, don't you? And even better if it uses items on hand. When I was making my easy 5 minute command center, I knew that I couldn't just slap some refrigerator magnets on the new magnet board if I wanted to be inspired to use it! I needed something beautiful. In my space, we have wood tones, silver, gold, navy, black and white. I decided that my magnets would incorporate navy and gold since the other colors are already in the command center.
You won't believe how easy it is to create mod melt magnets!
Here's what you need:
-A high-temp mini glue gun
-Mod Melt Sticks in gold
-Mold in your selected form
-Self adhesive Magnets (you may need additional adhesive depending on how strong they are)
-Paint and Paint brush
Take your mod melt sticks and melt in glue gun. Fill your molds and allow to cool.
Pop out of the mold. Trim them if you have any extra bits of mod melt.
They are so pretty, it's tempting to just leave them "as is!" But since we need useful, apply magnets to back of the cabochons. This is a great step for little helpers.
Paint accents (in this case the flowers and the "gems") as desired with craft paint.

On the whole, this project took 15 minutes with all the heat up, cool down, and drying time, but on the whole, this is an easy pretty project!
Enjoy!
