Menu Planning Monday 2014-08-11

Sometimes the key to menu planning is to be flexible.


I made a nice menu plan, and then Monday, we found out my husband's grandfather was not doing well (he's been in ill health since I've known him). Tuesday afternoon, we were told he had less than 24 hours to live. Wednesday morning, while I was in the shower getting ready for work, we received the call that he had passed. So we packed everyone up and headed down to Mississippi on Thursday for a funeral.

It was awesome to see family that we hadn't seen in a while, and some family that we'd never met before at all. However, our menu plan wasn't followed much at all. So you're going to see a lot of repeats from last week!

Here's the plan: 
Monday:  Andouille Sausage, Corn, Bread, Fruit


Wednesday: Teryaki Chicken, Rice
Thursday: Leftovers
Friday:  Barbecue Chicken Pizza, Fruit


Saturday: Hamburgers, Carrots, Salad
Sunday: Grilled Pork Chops, Brocolli, Salad
