Menu Planning Monday 2013-09-02

It's been a fun-filled holiday weekend. We started with a day off for the grow-ups on Friday, and then a fun local parade on Saturday. Today, we took our kids to ride the light rail train uptown. They were practically giddy. And then, this afternoon, we did a little bit of yard work.
But now, it's time to think ahead to this week. I'm hoping to see us start to settle into a schedule, with Lil Bit finally in kindergarten (last year this time I was answering--daily--when she could start!) and the twins starting a curriculum of their own in preschool.
I think it's time to bust out some of the fall recipes that I love--especially since we're planning on wrapping up this fun-filled weekend with a trip to an apple orchard tomorrow. I am seeing some applesauce (with pears) simmering in my slowcooker very, very soon--perhaps as soon as within the next 24 hours!
Anyway, here's the plan for the week:
Monday: Something light if we are here--Apple Picking!!
Tuesday: Spaghetti and Garlic Bread and Salad
Wednesday: Chicken Tortilla Soup with Sweet Potatoes, Salad
Thursday: Honey Parmesan Pulled Pork in the Slow Cooker
Friday: Kick'n Roasted Potatoes, Grilled Chicken, Salad
Saturday: Family Birthday Celebration
Sunday: Leftovers
I hope everyone has a happy Labor Day weekend!
I love to party! Sometimes I link up my posts to Organizing Junkie, Tidy Mom and these link parties! You should come party with me and check out some awesome new bloggers!
