Easy Winter Snowflake Wreath

9:43:00 PM

There's a little quiet period in the DIY/craft calendar...that little period between New Years and Valentines. I didn't really want to rush into the Valentine's Day season quite yet, so I thought I'd share this little winter wreath with you.

My oldest, Lil Bit, is getting to the age where she is excited by the idea of snow. The problem is, where we live, we're lucky to see much snow at all in a year. It actually shuts most of the city down when it does snow...or more likely, ice.

But to celebrate this excitement, I thought we'd have a snowflake wreath for the month of January. This is super simple, and most of what I used is actually "recycled" from another craft!

Here's what you need:
2 feather boas from the dollar store (reused from my Thing 1 and Thing 2 blue wigs from Halloween).
1 vine wreath (made by my sister and niece--you can see the other one they made here).
1 galvanized snowflake ornament that I picked up from Kohls after Christmas...but you could use any snowflake!

Here's how you make it:
Wrap the feather boas around the wreath.

It won't begin to cover the wreath in its entirety, and that's ok. This is an accent.

Tie the ornament to the wreath.

...And you're done! I tried a ribbon, but I liked it without. Even distracted (like I was!), you can finish this project in less than 30 minutes.
