Blue and Metallic Christmas Centerpiece

7:00:00 AM

My theme outside my house for Christmas is blue and green...kind of a glam look. I wanted to carry the blue and green theme from the front door into the dining room, since it's what you see first in my house. In a way, the back of the house is red and green and silver, in sort of a rustic glam look. The front half of the house still has a little bit of rustic, but there is a lot more metallics and blues put into the mix. This centerpiece is basically made up of 3 separate crafts and united with some faux greenery and a tray.

So I started with the glittered up candle holders I made for the Thanksgiving centerpiece. Gold glitter can definitely make it all the way from Thanksgiving to Christmas, don’t you think?

Then I added my new aqua blue faux mercury glass. I really like how this color look in this room with the green walls.

Finally, I made some fake snow candle holders. These mason jars is where the little bit of rustic comes out. This has to be the simplest craft  around—pour Epsom salt into the jar. Place contrasting candle into Epsom salt. Done. It definitely looks like a little candle in snow.

I placed some greenery from the floral section of Michaels around the candles, holding it all together with an old copper tray I already had on hand.

And that's it..a little wintery vignette that's serving as my Christmas centerpiece. It's low enough to see across, but plenty of blue, green and glam!
