Circle Crochet Blanket--Progress

Do you know what these are?
My almost 16 month old twins think they are hats. Or at least toys. Here's a better look at them:
If you guessed granny circles, you are right. About 50 of them.
Believe it or not, I've been working on this project since May. It's part of Lil Bit's room makeover. I want an awesome, snuggly blanket for her that's a lot of fun to look at too.
I kind of thought the circles look like flowers, which is fitting in the fairy/butterfly room, after all.
I found the pattern via pinterest at Icing on the Cake. I have followed her pattern for the circles exactly, except I used a G sized hook. She made her blanket to be 12x14 circles. I'm not looking to make mine that size. I am aiming toward 10x12 circles, which means that I'm about halfway through the circle making part...and then comes the joining process....she may be 16 before it's done!
My guess is that I'm about halfway through Lil Bit's room makeover, which includes these projects:
So what do you think of the progress in Lil Bit's room? Be honest, I can take it...

ReplyDeleteThe green is definitely going out of my comfort zone, so I'm glad that you like it!
DeleteThe blanket is going to be gorgeous, and she will treasure it! I believe you when you say how long it is taking. I've been there!
ReplyDeleteI hope that she does treasure it! Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI can't wait to see the finished room. The blanket is going to be awesome! Thanks so much for linking up at One Creative Weekend! Following you on Facebook.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the follow on FB! I'll be blogging the completed blanket and room--whenever I finish it, that is!
DeleteI'm excited to see what it looks like! Cute colors!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I know exactly what those are, because I've made about 90 out of 120 for my own blanket. :) And I've been working on it forever, too. I ran out of yarn...really need to finish this thing before it gets cold!!! :) I like doing the circles (mine are african flowers), but I'm not sure I'm looking forward to crocheting them all together. Thanks for the kick in the butt to pick this project back up!
ReplyDeleteI found you at Not just a housewife (I think)...glad I did!
Glad to know that my post was inspiring! Looking good so far! :)
