Chocolate Heart Shaped Crispy Rice Push Pops

6:00:00 AM

Are you getting ready for Valentine's Day? Are you looking for an easy treat? These heart shaped chocolate crispy rice treat pops are the perfect way to my heart (you had me at chocolate), but really, it's an easy treat for year round, whether it's heart shaped or plain squares! I made these to be a small batch—only 6 push pops, but this recipe is easily multiplied if you want more! (Double the recipe to make pan full of square shaped treats, for example!)

But if you have your heart set on heart shaped pops (see what I did there?), you will need 6 heart shaped push pop molds. You can totally use whatever shaped molds you want, though!!

Here's what you need:
Cooking spray
1 tablespoon butter
2 cups miniature marshmallows
3 cups crisp rice cereal
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Lightly grease your molds with cooking spray.  Place butter and marshmallows in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat for 30 seconds, stir with a greased spatula, and then heat as required for 15 second intervals until the marshmallows melted. Add cereal and chocolate chips; stir until combined. Pack mixture into prepared molds so that the mixture is well compressed.

Allow to cool for 1 hour. Loosen with a case knife, if necessary, and serve. Makes 6 servings.

Enjoy!
