Are you ready for another week of menu planning?

I don't know about you, but this weekend was a little crazy. We went garage sale shopping in the rain Saturday morning, sure that my oldest child's soccer game would be cancelled. We found a lot of fun, cool stuff (not the tables I wanted, but still cool stuff). But when it came time to go to soccer, the game still wasn't cancelled...so away we went. She got to experience playing soccer in the rain...hooray, right? But then Saturday night, as we were finishing up dinner, we noticed that water was coming through the light fixture in the kitchen. We've had this happen before and it was the supply line to the toilet--but everything was dry in the upstairs bathrooms. We thought it might be the rain--no leaks in the attic. My husband went to take the 2x4 fluorescent light fixture down to investigate further and one of the fluorescent bulbs came crashing to the ground. So after lots of cleanup and an exploratory hole in the ceiling, it appears that the drain in the tub in the guest bath needs to be replaced

All that to say I don't have an overhead light in my kitchen right now, and I'm not sure when we'll get one, so I'm cooking by under cabinet lights right now--that should be interesting. This fact has impacted my cooking plan--I'm trying to keep recipes that I have to watch to a minimum. Thank goodness for Daylight Savings, right?

So here's the plan for the week:

Monday: Pizza, Swiss Zucchini Bites, Strawberries


Tuesday: Waffles, Strawberries, Sausage
Wednesday: Chicken Fajitas, Salad
Thursday: Crockpot Beef Stew, Bread


Friday: Picnic on the soccer field
Saturday: Hamburgers, Salad
Sunday: Italian Chicken Rollups, Salad
