Pumpkin Pie Green Smoothie

Want a yummy fall breakfast smoothie?


I'm trying to eat more healthy these days--trying to get more veggies without fighting the family. That seems to get tougher and tougher as the kids get older. I've been trying more smoothies to sneak those veggies in my family's bellies. With fall finally here, I was inspired to create a pumpkin smoothie (with plenty of spinach to give more vitamins!)...it's like drinking a pumpkin pie!


Here's what you need:

3/4 cup packed fresh spinach
1 frozen banana
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup pureed pumpkin
1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

Place all ingredients in a cup and stir. Use an immersion blender to puree. If you don't have an immersion blender, you can use a regular blender. Makes 1 smoothie.
