Easy Mod Melt Snowflake Christmas Ornaments?

I know it's only a few short days before Halloween, but I'm already getting into the Christmas spirit! Every year, I tell myself that I need to get some more Christmas projects together, and this is the year! However, I want to start slow and easy and ramp myself up to the Christmas season. These easy snowflakes made from Mod Melts are the perfect project to ease into Christmas decorating!

Here's what you need:
Translucent silicone mat – I used one made by Mod Podge
White Mod Melt Sticks
Hot glue gun
Print outs of snowflakes – I used this one from the Gold JellyBean
Scissors or Xacto knife

Take your print out of snow flakes and place it under your silicone mat.

Do not pick snowflakes that are too small or too detailed. Unless you have a steadier hand and an exact sense of symmetry and proportion, don't try to freehand these snowflakes. They will not look good at all. Ask me how I know. :-) Simple shapes work best. Heat up the mod melts with the glue gun and then use the melts to trace all the snowflake lines right on your silicone mat.

Allow to cool, and then peel the snowflakes right off the mat. Trim up the edges to get rid of any rough edges or strings with a pair of scissors or an xacto knife. You can tie a ribbon on the snowflakes to make ornaments, or just hang them straight on your Christmas tree!

Enjoy!
