Hey guys, let's be real here.

I'm not going to lie...I don't have a tutorial or a recipe for you this morning. I had some great plans for this weekend that involved a fun new recipe, and finishing up some projects I have in the works. But instead, I went out to a movie with my husband (we're celebrating 10 years of marriage this summer!). And then we took the kids to the local science museum. And then it was time for a lot of snuggles and just time with my girls. By the end of the weekend, I felt so blessed.

It was just a good time to remember my blessings as I sit in a dirty house with loads of unfinished projects. So let me just share some things that I was reminded of this weekend:

That my big girl loves to read. She's not intimidated by a thick book. Don't get me wrong, she's not some little Einstein, but she so desires to read anything! This weekend, she picked up her Daddy's Bible, turned it at random to 2 Samuel, and proceeded to try to read all those crazy Canaanite and Israelite names.(I tried to guide her to the New Testament, but she's also her mama's daughter--very stubborn.) This girl rocks!

That my twins are getting so big! I know that pretty much every parent marvels at how fast their children grow, but when you have preemies, I think it is even harder to believe. After all, when your child starts out less than half the size of an average baby, it's amazing when you realize suddenly that they are way taller than average—and starting to catch up with their cousin who is over a year older than them. 

That my husband likes hanging out with my family. (And I like hanging out with his family, but we don't see them nearly as often). I still can't believe that we've been married 10 years! 

And that I am blessed that my girls have 3 girl cousins that are bigger and older to look up to. I am blessed that those cousins deserve to be looked up to. I had to punish my oldest this weekend while her cousins were visiting, and a time out to keep her from her cousins was the harshest punishment I could think of.
