Double Chocolate Pumpkin Donuts

6:00:00 AM

I love donuts. I love chocolate. And I love pumpkin. That right there might be enough reason for this recipe. But perhaps you need more. More reason for this chocolately goodness. I also have a child who isn’t the biggest fan of pumpkin by itself…and these double chocolate pumpkin donuts only have a hint of pumpkin flavoring, but still reap the benefits of having pumpkin in a dish (vitamin A, less fat, etc).

And did I mention that it’s just so…chocolate? And when you see how easy these donuts are to make, you’ll be looking for excuses to make them!

Here’s how you make them:

1 chocolate cake mix
1 16 oz can of pureed pumpkin
½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Cooking spray

Preheat oven to 350 F. Mix all ingredients together until combined. Place donut batter into a gallon zip-top bag. Grease donut pan (I use a full size donut pan). Snip the corner of the zip-top bag and pipe the batter into the prepared donut pan. Bake for 20 minutes. Cool. Makes 12 donuts.

Enjoy!
