Apple Cinnamon Overnight Refrigerator Oatmeal

6:00:00 AM

Are you trying to eat more healthy? Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! Are you looking for an easy but filling and healthy breakfast, but you don't have time to make it in the morning? Are you tired of having a breakfast that you don't know what's in it? Refrigerator oatmeal is the way to go! You prep everything at least the night before and then it's all grab and go. Using apples as the fruit in this refrigerator oatmeal recipe gives a longer shelf life than other fruit options, and you end up with a breakfast that reminds me more of having a sweet apple crumble!

Are you ready to try this recipe?

Here's what you need 4 meals of refrigerator yogurt:
1 cup old fashioned oats
1 cup low fat yogurt. I used organic regular low fat vanilla yogurt (not Greek)
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 medium apple, diced
4 tablespoons milk
Optional: sweetener if you are using plain yogurt

You will need 4 half-pint containers. Mason jars or small plastic containers work well.

Layer 1/4 cup oats, 1/4 cup yogurt, 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/4 of the apple, and 1 teaspoon milk in each jar.

Stir or shake well to combine.

Refrigerate at least overnight.

Enjoy!
