Happy Memorial Day!
8:56:00 AM
This Memorial Day, I remember all the people who have paid the ultimate price to give me the freedom to do the things I love, including the freedom to write my blog as I wish.
If you are in the United States, most likely you have the day off. Whatever you are doing on this day, please remember a man or woman that you know who has served our country to give you the freedom to do what you are doing. Even better, remember someone who paid the ultimate price.
Here's a picture of my granddaddy in his uniform.
He took part in World War II, and I'm glad he came home from it.
This past month, my husband buried his grandfather. He lived a full life, which included serving the US as a World War II hero. We have been so blessed by these men in our lives. I know that there are many that were ripped from this life too soon, serving our country. So many give the greatest sacrifice, and if you are celebrating this day remembering your loved one who gave that sacrifice, thank you for sharing that loved one with your country. If you are one of my friends and family who have served in the armed forces--thank you!
Have a wonderful Memorial Day!
I love to party! Sometimes I link up my posts to Organizing Junkie, Tidy Mom and these link parties! You should come party with me and check out some awesome new bloggers!
